BipOrder reservations replace external booking platforms with zero commission. Customers book from your site, your Google Business Profile or your app. You keep 100% of the cover and zero no-shows thanks to card holds.
1. Activate the Reservations module
The Reservations module is included in Pro, Ultimate and Digital plans. Go to Settings > Modules > Reservations > "Enable".
2. Configure your time slots
In Reservations > Time slots, set:
- Service windows (lunch 12-2:30pm, dinner 7-10:30pm...)
- Cover duration (1h30 default, adjustable)
- Max capacity per slot (covers or tables)
- Opening days / exceptional closures
Distinguish "lunch" and "dinner" services even if hours touch. It makes reporting cleaner and lets you block one service without the other for private events.
3. Interactive floor plan
In Floor > Floor plan, draw your room via drag and drop: tables, banquettes, bar, terrace. Set each table's capacity.
BipOrder then auto-optimises assignment: a 2-top goes to a 2-seat table rather than blocking a 6-seater.
4. Anti no-show: card hold
For high-risk bookings (groups of 6+, Saturday night, peak season), enable the card hold. The customer leaves their card number (via Stripe, ultra-secure) with no real debit. On no-show, you charge €20/cover.
- Default: groups of 6 and more
- Customisable by weekday and time slot
- Customer clearly informed (Terms, confirmation email)
- No arbitrary charge: you confirm the no-show
Legal: clearly state the no-show policy in your Terms and confirmation email. BipOrder ships a GDPR-compliant template.
5. Confirmation and reminders
BipOrder automatically sends:
- Immediate confirmation email
- SMS reminder the day before (paid add-on)
- Confirmation email 2h before + cancellation link
- Staff notification on the service app
6. Manage arrivals
In the Server app or dashboard, reservations appear as a kanban: Expected > Arrived > Seated > Done. One tap to seat the customer, the cover is instantly linked to the QR order.
Waitlist
When your service is full, new customers can join a waitlist. As soon as a table frees, BipOrder sends an email with a confirmation link valid 20 min. No confirm = next in line.
